Sydney Short (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Milwaukee, WI, attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Raised in midwestern suburbia just beyond Illinois farmlands, she has a deep connection to the outdoors that greatly influences her work. Through practices passed down from generations of her family, Short uses her “inheritance” to resist the speed and disposability of digital culture. Her work has been exhibited in multiple group shows across Milwaukee, including the Charles Allis Museum, Real Tinsel, and Gray Area.At the moment of writing this, she is listening to the song Hold On by The Shore.
